Thomas Marko & Associés supports UNIFA in communicating its Annual General Meeting

The Union Nationale des Industries de la Fertilisation Agricole(UNIFA), the trade organization representing the plant nutrition and soil health industry in France, has entrusted Thomas Marko & Associés with its communications around its Annual General Meeting, which takes place on June 12, 2024 in Paris. The agency is in charge of supporting UNIFA in its press relations, social media strategy and editorial communications, with the production of the annual activity report.

The Annual General Meeting is a key event, bringing together all producers of plant nutrition and soil health solutions, as well as leaders of agricultural organizations. One of the highlights of the event will be a round table dedicated to associated fertilization.

UNIFA launches its industry approach to associated fertilization

Founded in 1949, UNIFA brings together 35 companies producing all types of fertilization solutions (mineral, organo-mineral, organic and biostimulant fertilizers and soil improvers) in France and Europe. UNIFA has unique expertise in combining different fertilization solutions, and an objective view of the sector as a whole, producing official statistics on fertilizer deliveries in France on behalf of the French Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty. In 2023, with 82 production and storage sites in France, 4,166 direct jobs and 12,498 indirect jobs, UNIFA companies will have total sales of 2.33 billion euros, and will have invested 56.36 million euros in R&D.

Combined fertilization is based on the principle of combining different fertilizing materials and technologies (mineral, organic, biostimulants, etc.) to achieve synergies that improve agronomic performance in particular. In addition to research into these agronomic performances, UNIFA companies have decided to place associated fertilization at the heart of several major social issues. Firstly, this approach is based on the combined know-how of the various fertilizer producers. In fact, it boosts the development of solutions to environmental, societal and economic challenges such as climate change, soil conservation and the development of food sovereignty. The major ambition of UNIFA member companies is to provide expert advice on associated fertilization as a major lever for the development of decarbonized French food sovereignty, while preserving soil health.
